After serving as a retail banker for 12 years as well as a branch manager for three different banks, I became a mortgage originator in order to have a more positive impact on the lives of my clients. Helping someone buy their first home, or solidify their retirement with investment properties, are milestones I enjoy helping my borrowers achieve.

Achieving homeownership isn’t always a smooth process. When situations are complicated or borrowers have been turned down by other lenders, I get a chance to be creative and serve as an advocate. In short, I get to fight for you. My company, Security National, has the product base and broker capabilities that allow access to products that sometimes other lenders do not offer, which allows me to make the dream of home-ownership a reality for more people. The more a client knows, remembers, and trusts me and the company I represent, the more they appreciate the realtors and other partners I work with.
Behind The Mortgage Gladiator
Raised in southern Washington, I purchased my first house in Portland in 2007, and have been an active real estate investor ever since. Above all, I love spending my spare time with my wife and kids, the most important people in my life. We live on a small hobby farm in Hillsboro with poultry, rabbits, and a large garden. I’m passionate about supporting my childrens’ schools and raising them with a mentality of self-sufficiency and sustainability. In my free time, I run 5k fun runs or obstacle course runs at least once a month, and I’m actively training to participate in annual half and full Ironman competitions. I also enjoy backpacking, hiking, and camping.
